Max Porfido, MS, OTR/L earned their Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Towson University in 2020, after completing their Bachelor’s degree in both Occupational Science and Psychology.
Max enjoys working with children and families to support development in areas such as sensory integration and regulation, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional growth. Max values playful, relationship-based approaches to therapy and holds certification in DIR/Floortime. Max is also a certified Yoga instructor and enjoys adding mindfulness and movement into OT sessions. Max believes in meeting each child where they are, building confidence through connection, creativity, and meaningful experiences that foster independence. Max brings a love of the outdoors and a passion for movement to their work as an occupational therapist. In their free time, Max enjoys rock climbing, practicing yoga, hiking, camping, and snowboarding. Max is often accompanied by their mini goldendoodle, Nala, who loves hiking and swimming just as much as they do.
